The power of storytelling and creativity in fostering empathy and wellbeing.

Please join us in the Cantor Art Gallery for a night of Networking as we explore the connections between Art and Healthcare.

Neurologists, physicians, and nurses, along with medical and nursing students and faculty from UMass Chan will join us in the gallery to talk about art, neuroscience, and lived experience and explore how storytelling, creativity, and culture shape the practice of health care.

Using the Vietnamese Áo Dài as a symbol of resilience and identity, this program highlights the power of listening to patients’ stories, adapting in times of crisis, and finding wellbeing through creative expression. The evening will focus on thinking about how seeing patients as whole people fosters empathy, belonging, and better care.

It promises to be a wonderful event, a tremendous networking opportunity, and a moving exhibition. Appetizers will be served!
