Be a citizen scientist with Holy Cross Libraries and help us contribute data to the Squirrel Mapper Project, which aims to study the color evolution in Eastern gray squirrels. Visit the library conference room (Dinand 101A) to pick up your squirrel mapping instructions. Then, roam around campus and take photos of any squirrels you see to upload to the Squirrel Mapper project. Come back to Dinand to show us your photos and earn your Squirrel Scout Badge!

This event is part of Planting the Seeds of Knowledge, a series of events presented by the Holy Cross Libraries, Archives and Distinctive Collections, and the Office of Sustainability that explore local ecology and sustainability. Discover, learn and engage with topics relevant to our campus and local Worcester community throughout this yearlong program. For more information about this series, visit https://libguides.holycross.edu/seedsofknowledge.

This project uses the iNaturalist app (https://www.inaturalist.org/) to collect photos. You may want to download the app before the event, or you can download it when you arrive.
