Details
Take Back The Night (TBTN) is the earliest worldwide effort to combat sexual violence. Now, TBTN events are hosted on college campuses across the US to help raise awareness about the issue of sexual violence.
On the day of the event, we will meet on the Hoval for an opening ceremony and then walk across campus holding signs and sharing chants that openly address and discourage sexual violence. There will be several spots on campus where we stop and hear stories, poems, songs, etc related to the impact of sexual violence. These stories are sometimes a person's own experience of sexual violence that they share or are read by a desingated volunteer. The night will end with a debrief discussion led by the RPEs.
We invite Holy Cross community members to participate should they be interested in doing so. Sexual violence prevention and awareness takes an entire community! We recognize you are an important part of the Holy Cross community and would appreciate any way you are able to support and contribute!
