As part of starting your time at Holy Cross, all first-year and new transfer students are required to complete a Bringing in the Bystander (BITB) training. This is a 1.5-hour interactive session led by our Relationship Peer Educators (RPEs)—fellow students who are trained to help guide these conversations.
In this training, you'll learn how to step in and support others in situations that might involve sexual violence, harassment, or discrimination. We’ll talk about real-life ways to look out for one another, make respectful choices, and contribute to a safer, more caring campus community. You’ll also have space to think about your values, your impact, and who you want to be while you’re here.
At Holy Cross, being “people for and with others” is part of who we are. That means we all have a personal responsibility to care for one another—whether it’s speaking up, offering support, or just being aware of how our actions affect others. This training is one way we live out that commitment together.
You’ll attend this session with people who live in your residence hall—each hall has a specific date. It’s important that you sign up for the session that matches your floor or room number.
